Sorrow - Part Deux (aka... Curiosity)

So, i wrote a post a couple days ago about my brother and all of the stuff he's going through.

Well... in the past couple of days there have been some new developments that have caused us to go "hmmm..."

So, my mom told me the entire story about this girl. The story is amazing. Truly one of the craziest stories I've heard... not THE craziest... but one of them. So... apparently this girl got pregnant by her ex-fiance. Then, she had a miscarriage. Then, she hops on a plane to go to Nigeria to see a family that pretty much raised her for most of her life. So, my assumption about it being for work... was wrong. I guess she spent many many years in Nigeria. Now, all of a sudden, she's dead.

So, my mom asked me to do some investigating, because there's more to it, but that's the basic jist. So I started to look some stuff up and couldn't really come up with anything. Then, my mom IMs me today and starts to tell me about something her best friend found.

Apparently, there is all this information out there on Nigerian Love Scams. I guess scammers in Nigeria go online and basically start online relationships with people. They then lure them to either give them money, or get them to go to Nigeria, so they can hurt them. So, my brother never gave her any money, but he did get an email from her "father" saying that they were going to wait for my brother to go out there so that he can spread the ashes.

So, now we're all really trying to find absolutely anything out that we can. It is all so freaking strange. So that's the story... I'll let you know if I find anything more out. What a life!
