Condolences

To my good friend Carrie:

A loss in life is never an easy experience to go through. Just know that through it all, she is now in a much better place where there is no pain and only eternal happiness. Rely on the wonderful friends and family that you surround yourself with and know that we are here if you need absolutely anything.

We love you!

Docta...

I went for a physical today and apparently, I've got a clean bill of health as long as my blood work comes back a-ok. Woo hoo!

Lots of reasons...

I'm doing this post for multiple reasons. This song stirs up a lot of emotions with its words and reminds me of many things in my life both present and past. Make of it what you will...

I never thought I'd ever make it
I can't believe the hell I've been through
Couldn't see the light at the end of the tunnel
I didn't know what to do
I've been through the rain
I've been through the fire
There was something that I never knew

I had an angel on my shoulder
With a plan for me divine
Must be an angel on my shoulder
Who was right there all the time
(angel is, angel)
Ooh, ooh

This world can be so cold and so heartless
It's hard to find your way alone
I used to run so fast, no one could catch me
I couldn't find the way back home
Well, I've laughed, I've cried
I've almost died
But my broken heart just never knew

That I had an angel on my shoulder
With a plan for me divine
Got to be an angel on my shoulder
Who was right there, right there all the time

Everybody needs someone to cling to
With an unchanging love
I finally found a hand to hold on to
A shelter to run to
Now I see He's watching over me

(Angel on my shoulder)
(Angel)

I got an Angel on my shoulder with a plan for me divine
Got to be an angel on my shoulder
Who was right there, right there, right there all the time
Gotta be an angel, an angel, an angel
Ooh, hoo, all the time

Hint...

Hint... don't drink coffee an hour before you are ready to go to bed. Why? Because you wont sleep and XANAX WON'T HELP! :(

Grrrrrr

Yeah, so I know its been a while since my last post. Its been a long few weeks. Lots of crap going on, but I'm hoping it will come to end soon. Its been tough for me to find time to blog lately, but alas... I have found something that has annoyed me enough to make me want to blog!

I'm all for diversity. I sort of have to be anyway given my current profession, but in general, I'm a pretty tolerant person. I have sat idly by as ATMs started to ask which language you would like to proceed in, as automatated telephone answering systems give an option for Spanish, as Stop&Shops Self-Checkout started to offer a Spanish option. I have said nothing... The buck stops here though.

I have been having a bit of a rough week, so today while I am here at work alone, I decided to go for a drive on my break. I went to the fabulous Staven Stop and Shop to get myself some goodies to munch on for lunch. One of those things... Pringles. I was just really craving them, so I figured... why the hell not.

As I sit here back at work getting ready to consume my scrumptious Pringles, I notice that the Nutrition label... the ignored staple of our Fat American Society... it now in ENGLISH AND SPANISH! Ok dude... seriously... it says something when the one thing that we as Americans ignore the most... is now being offered to another culture to ignore.

THAT PISSES ME OFF! Learn to ignore something in your own country! Don't take away the one decent thing that we have left... the one thing that most Americans don't understand. *sigh* today... is a sad day.
