YAY!!!
Helloooooo my friends.
I thought I would post a short blog about my most wonderful trip to the great Island of Rhodes yesterday...
So the wonderful Miss Conrad accompanied me on my grand ol' trip. We left around 10am yesterday and enjoyed a sunny drive along 95... We got into Pawtucket around noon. First, we made a little quick pitstop at la casa de mi padres for a little "bio break"
Then we took a ride down to Thayer St. (near Brown Univ.) and had lunch at Johnny Rockets. I was very very saddened though to find that my 3 favorite stores there have CLOSED! I shed a quick tear and off we went.
After a scrumptious lunch of oldies music, milkshakes, and onion rings... we drove out to Cranston to see the new love of my life. Brendan was soooouuunnd asleep when we got there. We chatted a bit... joked around some... and then the little guy woke up for his lunch. My fabulous nephew has a bit of a soft spot for sleeping and stripping. In order to keep him awake to eat, they had to strip him. It was interesting... After his lunch, I got to hold the little guy and then the greatest words came out of Melissa's mouth... "we want to know if you would be Brendan's Godmother"
OH MY GOD!!!!!!!!??????? I have a Godson!!!! So... I held him a little longer.. then carried him upstairs so they could change him... we got a bit of a peepee shower show... and then we big our goodbye.
From here... we stopped over at the softball field and said a quick hello to Shannnon, brand new Head Coach of the Saints Softball team (an old friend from high school)... then off to my parents.
We hung out at my parents for a little while, saw a HUUUUGGGGEEEEEEEEEEE bee fly out of my parents garage... ew scary... From there... we stopped by the liquor store and picked up some fabulous RI Red wine for Eileen and bought a couple of Red Sox Scratch Tickets... Ok get this... you could possibly win Red Sox season tickets FOR LIFE!!!! I didn't win season tickets... but I DID win $50 on one of my tickets... CHA CHING! DINNER ON ME!
We then went to the fabulous Providence Place Mall... walked around a bit... Kelly got something from the Art-O-Matic machine at Oop and then we went and had dinner at Dave & Busters... along with that... played a few games. Then back to CT!
We got back late... but it was a great great great great day... and now... I have a Godson!!!! Scroll down to see the handsome devil.
