Shitty Cars and Healthy Eyes...
So... what has been going on with me? I know its been a while since I've posted something other than song lyrics and videos, so here you are... NOW GET OFF MY BACK BITCHES! Just kidding...
Last week was one of the longest weeks of my life. It just dragggggged and drrraaaggggedddd... So, I got two new front tires and a re-alignment on my car. A mere two days after I got that done... my car starts to leak fluid. After doing some research and letting my inner butch shine through, I realized that it was my radiator hose that was leaking.
So, I have my car towed so that the radiator hose can be replaced. No problem. They call me and tell me that yes, its definitely the radiator hose, so they have to replace that... do a flush of the coolant and then replace the coolant. They also noticed that my valve cover on my oil was also leaking pretty badly and that needed to be replaced because pieces were breaking off and getting into my oil line. Cool... so I had them go ahead and do that also and do an oil change. Still.. no problem. Then I called to check on my car and they did something while replacing the radiator hose and they made my radiator spring a leak. So... because it was partially their fault, they agreed to only charge me for the part and not labor... Labor would have cost somewhere between $2000-3000. Instead... it was going to be $200. I'm cool with that.
So I go to pick up my car.. no problems. It's running.. all is well. We proceed to go over to Lynn's because we're dog sitting for the weekend. Yay.. puppies! We get there around 6:30pm and just stay in for the evening. Watch some movies.. play with the puppies... that's about it. Saturday morning, we get up and go out to come home so Kelly can get ready for work and there is a huge puddle of oil in her driveway from my car... AWESOME! So, I tried to drive it and it wouldn't accelerate properly. We had it towed back. My dad drove up from RI to handle the situation with the car. We dropped it off around 10:30am. I still hadn't heard from them by 1pm, so I called. Yeah... they told me that it hadn't been seen yet and they were getting ready to close, so it wouldn't be looked at till Monday. By this time... I was ripped! Whatever.. I let it go.
Sunday comes... We get up early and go into work for a mandatory Store Meeting. Big woop... we didn't win the 32" TV.. that kind of sucked but whatever. We come home... Kelly goes back to work and I head back over to take care of the puppies. On my way home from Lynn's, I'm driving down Whitney Ave. and I see these 3 gaymos walking. I'm like.. oh cool. I then look and its Carrie, Brie and Brie's new girlfriend. I went to wave to Brie because she saw me and she sort of scoffed when she realized that it was me. I got a little upset at first, but then I just let it go. Kelly asked me if it bothered me to see her with her new girlfriend and honestly... it didn't. We are both adults and we just weren't meant for each other. I honestly do wish her to find happiness and love. I did. Why wouldn't I wish that on someone else who I shared a good part of my life with. So that's how I feel. I truly do hope she's happy and that this girl treats her well and loves her the way she deserves. If anyone reading this still talks to her, feel free to pass along my sentiments.
So anyway... the rest of the day was pretty uneventful. Then Monday comes around. I call about my car. It turns out that something came loose with the valve cover thingy and thats what was causing my leak. The loss of oil was contributing to not accelerating properly. Although I do need a tune up and possibly a new transmission in the near future... it runs... it drives.. I'm happy.
Then I went to eye doctor. Got a healthy check-up mis ojos. All is well. I'm actually going to take the plunge and get contacts. Its just time. So, I go back in a little over a week for my fitting and i'm very excited. Although at the moment, my eyes are hurting a little bit because they're still dialated a bit. Oh well...
That's pretty much it for now. I'm hoping the week goes by rather quickly because this weekend is BOSTON!!!! Kel and I.. along with Sandy and Amanda are headed to Boston Saturday morning. We're going to spend the day in Boston... have dinner at Dick's Last Resort, then we're headed to the Dixie Chicks concert. Sunday, we're driving home via the Island of Rhodes and are going to stop and see the family and most importantly my boys! Then its one and a half more weeks till VACATION!!!
That's pretty much it for me. I'm going to go finish watching Hell's Kitchen and wait for my darling to come home. Hope you are all well and feel free to send me a shout out when you get a free minute!
